Our StaffPastor Berry came to Southland in July of 2004. At the age of 12 he accepted Christ as his Saviour and surrendered to the call to preach at the 18 years old. He graduated from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, MO in 1988, with degrees in Bible and Pastoral Theology. He served in Grace Baptist Church in Sedalia, Missouri as Youth and Music Pastor, Southeast Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as Youth Pastor, Music Minster, Bus Director, Sunday School Director and Associate Pastor, and he is the founding pastor of Desert Springs Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. Pastor Berry was married to Carol Kronke for 17 years before she went home to be with the Lord after a 5 1/2 year battle with breast cancer. In April of 2005, Pastor Berry married Charlotte Lewis from Pontotoc, MS. They have four children John, Brian, Grant, and Sierra. Pastor Berry has been the in ministry for over 25 year. His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths"
Pastor has been in many areas of ministry over the years and count it a joy to serve the Lord.

- Founder and Chairman of the Arizona Chapter of Alumni and Friends of Baptist Bible College.
- Good News Bible Club in two Belton Elementary Schools (Kentucky Trails and Gladden)

He was saved to the age of 12. Pastor Gerald holds a PhD in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University. He was born in Trenton, Missouri and grow up around Bedford, Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Kansas Air National Guard with over 26 years of service. He has been married to his wife Jan for 54 years. He has been in the ministry for over 40 years and has pastored churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, having started three churches. He started Southland Baptist in 1991. He is married to Jan and they have five children who are all serving the Lord. He is the founding pastor of Southland Baptist Church. Southland Baptist is the third church he has founded. He is the teacher of the Victory Bible Class, over our discipleship program, visitation and preaches.

He grow up in Old Town, Maine, graduating from Old Town High School and then he entered the United States Marine Corps.In 1968 he received Christ as his Savior. He married his wife Phyllis in June of 1967. Bro. Randall came to Southland Baptist in the fall of 2011. For 39 years he work at Faith Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri in 1973. During his ministry he has worked as an Associate Pastor working in a Christian School, teaching children, youth and adults. At Southland Baptist he oversees our Sunday School and help with other duties of the church.

Missionary - Rev. Arnold Belasco - Spain
Arnold was raised in Tucson, Arizona and saved at the age of fourteen. After high school, he attended Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona and graduated from the aviation program. He was married to Leslie 1995. In 1998, the Belasco's joined Desert Springs Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. Under the mentoring of Rev. Gary L. Berry, they completed discipleship and grew in the Lord. He sensed the call to the ministry while serving as a counselor at youth camp in 2000. After serving for a number of years under the ministry of Pastor Berry, they moved to Springfield, Missouri at the end of 2004 to enroll in Baptist Bible College.
In his first semester at Baptist Bible College, God burdened his heart to minister to the people of Spain. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in May 2008 and was ordained the same month. In May of 2010 they moved to Spain to establish Baptist churches.

Youth Director - Rob Roberson
Bro. Rob grew up in a pastors home in Provo, UT. Knowing God had called him to the Ministry he moved to Oklahoma City in 2004 to attend Heartland Baptist Bible College. During his time attending college he served as a summer intern at Victory Baptist Church in Vail, AZ as well as Southwest Baptist church in Oklahoma City. It was at Heartland Baptist Bible College he met his wife Rachel. Rachel was also raised in a Christian home and came to Oklahoma city from Tuscon, AZ. Both Rob and Rachel graduated from Heartland in 2008 and began working at Southland in May of 2011. Rob and Rachel have three Children, William, Breanna and Natalie.

Music Director - John Berry
John was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and grow up in Oklahoma, Arizona and Missouri. He is a graduate of Belton High School and attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. John started leading music when he was 14 years old at Desert Springs Baptist Church in Tuscon, Arizona. John also is the custodian for the church. He is the assistant director of Mid-West Junior Youth Camp and work in AWANA.
